The new Firebeam Blue uses the same advanced technology as its predecessor the FireBeam Xtra. It inherits the same reliability, benefits and an unbeatable range of 160 metres, but it is commissioned and controlled using an App.

Beam detectors are ideal for use in large open spaces like warehouses. The ease of installation and subsequent access for maintenance makes this the go to technology for these projects. The detector projects an invisible IR beam from its transmitter to a reflector located at the opposite end. The reflected light is projected onto the receiver of the unit where it is analyzed. When this beam is obscured by smoke the detector triggers into alarm.

The detector is programmed from ground level, via Bluetooth, using a smartphone App. It’s low current consumption enables seamless integration with ZYTEQfire’s range of addressable panels. Up to 6 beam detectors may be powered by the addressable system (subject to loop load calculations). A conventional unit is also available.
